Join us on this Idyllic paddling journey along the river Coquet.
A relaxed, yet exciting tour on the river Coquet with lovely views from the river on to the Village's Castle, a visit and paddle around Amble's Marina and the awesomeness of this place and a chance to see live flora and fauna that gives home this outstanding place. A great adventure ahead, exciting for the intermediate paddler but also suitable for the whole family and for beginners. The guided tour will bring you up to the grounds of the late medieval Warkworth Hermitage before heading downstream and circumnavigating the artificial mound and hilltop that hosts Warkworth Castle on the south bank of the river. We will pass nearby the land of St Lawrence’s Church and Graveyard and from here you will paddle under one other gem of the English National Heritage a unique remains of the medieval architecture one of its kind England. After the last meanders, the journey enters the straight estuary of the river Coquet and its magnificent views of Amble downstream and the mound and castle at the back while surrounded by astonishing views, flora and fauna only achievable from the river. These jaw dropping scenes will print out in your retina and top up your feel of enjoyment.
